I agree that the laws of attraction is a self-fulfilling philosophy and if you latch on to that... you will climb out of your depression. What helped me the most was an online program and here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/lfzbk8 (copy and paste.) Jill

Here is a definition of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

. CBT is based on the Cognitive Model of Emotional Response.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the idea that our thoughts
cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things, like people, situations,
and events. The benefit of this fact is that we can change the way we think to
feel / act better even if the situation does not change.

The last line makes all the difference. In CBT, you act and feel better even if the situation does not change. Usng the Law of Attraction, by changing your thinking, your circumstances WILL change.

Hollowman, I'm not an expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and I have checked out The Laws of Attraction in the past. Yet, they both seem to be no more than ways to give us temporary psychological satisfaction or maybe material fulfillment depending on a person's desires. In our times when many seek the meaning of life and not a temporary filler these approaches don't truly quench our thirst for the good in our lives.

Instead of man made laws,if we knew the laws of Nature we wouldn't have to subject ourselves to therapies and philosophies that make our lives feel like we are running in circles and getting no where fast. Here are some interesting links that talk about the laws of nature. Hope they help.
Hope things get better for you man...Peace

In the morning, when you are in that zone between waking and sleeping, don't be too hasty to get up. But at the same time will yourself to control the direction your dream is taking, like you would explore an unfamiliar landscape, making decisions and turning corners. It's fun, like an ultra-realistic adventure game. On occasion I have found myself sleeping 1-2 hours beyond my normal waking time just to indulge in lucid dreaming.
