Question by ꃼꀎꃶꀧꁊ: what is it about pisces and taurus…?

I have taurus’ friends that are my best friends. and then there’s this guy that i know whose a taurus and he likes me. what gets me everytime is how sensual taurus’ are and we have chemistry.

I’ve found this really interesting info about pisces and taurus that is true. comments plz?

Both of you can be very passionate and driven, and work or achievement can become an obsession for you. Whenever a desire makes itself felt in either of you, tremendous energy is released and you will pour yourself wholeheartedly, even compulsively, into fulfilling it – sometimes to the detriment of your health, relationships, or other areas of your lives. Using force and will appropriately, is easier for Pisces than for Taurus. When Taurus’ will or desires are blocked, Taurus is prone to become intensely angry, and possibly destructive. Taurus wrestles with the destructive side of anger, and may fear anger and/or claiming personal power. The tendency to block rage and the necessity of learning to release it in constructive ways is one of Taurus’ lessons – something Pisces may well be able to help with.

This is a “hot” relationship. Sexual and physical attraction is strong, tending to lead to hot pursuit of each other. Subtlety is lacking and one, or both, of you may feel your approach to sexuality is too aggressive or insensitive.

There is an obsessive quality to the desire you feel for one another and the emotional intensity of this relationship may be more than either of you wants to handle. You are deeply attracted to each other, drawn to each other like magnets, and you “get under each other’s skin”. You find yourselves pouring out your deepest feelings to each other. Or you may struggle to hide your true feelings from each other, and consequently become enmeshed in a very complex emotional tangle. You may feel simultaneously intensely attracted and repulsed by each other. Bonding is intense, though, and you may evoke feelings of jealousy and possessiveness in each other as well. If either of you is unwilling to have your deepest feelings exposed and your ingrained habits challenged, you will find this relationship too stressful.

Inevitably there will be passion and fireworks in your relationship, and just as inevitably there will be friction, argumentativeness, and competition between you – all of which adds to the magnetic attraction you have for one another. Fighting will create more desire and cause amorous feelings to flow. But if one or both of you prefers a more peaceful relationship, all of this intensity can be unnerving. Sexual disharmonies or conflicting needs and desires regarding how love is expressed will have to be worked out. Lack of passion, however, will never be an issue!

This is destined to be a vibrant and very physical relationship. If for some reason the two of you could not physically express your affections for each other, you will find being in one another’s presence irritating and frustrating.

You encourage one another to grow and to be all that you can be, and through your mutual belief in one another’s abilities and aspirations, you help each other live more fully and freely. Because you see the best in one another, you naturally draw it out. You end to agree on ethical, religious philosophical, or spiritual matters, to have a similar approach to such issues, and to overlook or minimize your differences.

A shared goal, ideal, or vision is an important part of your relationship

Question by Dolphin2Much: How does someone who has already graduated college plede Delta Sigma Theta?

I am a college graduate who is living in the Bronx, and I would love to pledge Delta Sigma Theta. I have had a deep interest in this sorority since I was a young girl and I am ready to make that commitment. I would like to meet anyone who might also be interested in pledging and how they are going about it. I am really looking for specific answers.
Thanks in Advance

Best answer:

Answer by dukefenton
You’d have to ask the sorority; but some fraternal organizations are open to graduate students as well as undergraduates. The best place to start is to contact the chapter at whatever school you would be going to. Rarely, if ever, are members of the general public permitted to pledge.

Question by PSPDiddy: Do these CD’s really work for lucid dreaming?

I found this website that offers CD’s depending on what type of lucid dream you would like to have to listen to while you are asleep. I’m really interested in trying out lucid dreaming, but I can’t and am hoping that this product will work. Has anyone here tried it? http://www.luciddreamingadventures.com/lucidity/?pu=false

Best answer:

Answer by Thagen
I have seen many websites that advertise lucid dreaming supplements like those guys do. Flashy text, lots of great (I can only guess if it is genuine) feedback, tons of hype to get you excited to buy their product. It may, may not work, but in general, these things can be obtained for free, much cheaper, or even made at home quite easily. I know this because I have heard lots of results from other people on various lucid dreaming forums. (I have never personally tried it)

I don’t know the method they use to induce lucidity on those CD’s. It could be a simple placebo, it could be an inspiring story (make your own, or just read somebodies online dream journal, works wonders), perhaps brainwave binary beats (Free software for that, and I have found music combined with those beats for free designed by users on lucid dreaming forums), or perhaps some sort of meditation or hypnosis (You can also get this for free).

The CD’s might work for you, if you have the extra cash to throw at it, sure. But be prepared just in case you are getting something that doesn’t work, or something old just in new packaging. I guarantee you can find something just as good for free, and it might even work better.

Question by hollowman84: Does anyone know the difference between Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and The Laws Of Attraction?

Can someone please give me some good advice. I need help because I have been feeling very depressed lately.
If anyone on here knows the difference and could please take the time to answer my question I would greatly appreaciate it thank you.

Best answer:

Answer by Next Best Thing
The two aren’t opposites. They are a little different. One being a form of therapy and the other more a philosophy.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy is a form of therapy, as noted, that tends to work with changing behavior, like if you wanted to quit smoking or something. it works with changing how you feel through what you do. I’ve seen techniques in dealing with people with depression where instead of doing the normal thing you might when you’re feeling down: like staying in bed- a cognitive behavioral therapist would advise you to maybe go take a walk or hang out with a friend or something. So by changing the behavior, you might gradually feel better and learn a new way of coping with the emotion.

The law of attraction is kind of like a self-fulfilling prophecy. It’s more a philosophy that what you believe becomes your reality. For example: if you were to believe that you were a bad person and no one liked you- you might begin to judge what other people say, become suspicious of their actions, etc- and then suddenly, really nobody does like you because of how you treat them with suspicion and doubt.

Hope that makes sense. Email me if you want to talk.

Best answer:

Answer by gazbail
It’s all about conditioning yourself to recognise when you are dreaming. I have had several lucid dreams, some longer than others. The problem is usually once you realise you are asleep your body automatically wakes up. There are various things you can do to try and prolong the dream, such as spinning around, this is often quoted on dream websites. speaking of which, have a look here, I found some interesting info on this site http://www.ld4all.com/. It’s a site dedicated to lucid dreaming.

Question by someone: what is the difference between astral projection,OBE,meditation, lucid dreaming and spiritual ecstasy ?

what is the difference between astral projection , out of body experience , meditation ,lucid dreaming and spiritual ecstasy ,is there any similarities or differences between them ,also the thing that I really want to know that in those five conditions ,does the soul go out of the body ,or it is just an altered state of consciousness ,also for the people who are performing these experiences such as astral projection :I want to know what is so pleasing and amusing about it . and do you really spy on people ?

Best answer:

Answer by Zane and Azaria
Astral Projection and OBEs are essentially the same thing, with the only difference being that OBEs usually refer to when it is doe accidentally, whilst Astral Projection usually refers to when it was done on purpose.

Meditation is simply the calming of oneself, and bringing one’s being to a lower frequency such as theta waves (Just Google Theta Waves, and if you need it explained in lay man’s terms simply e-mail me). Meditation can bring spiritual ecstasy (which is when you feel “one” with the Universe), however not always.

Lucid dreaming (to my understanding of it) is an Astral dream, or a dream in which your sub-conscious is trying to tell you about future events, about Past Lives (if you have had Past Lives), or something about yourself using symbols from your Present and Past Lives.

The Soul goes out of he body, yes, although you are entirely conscious throughout the event. The government calls it “remote viewing” in their experiments regarding it in the past few years, although I haven’t heard much about it. So, some people call it Astral Projection, some OBEs, and some remote viewing. It all depends on the person.

Astral Projection is simply useful. You could spy on people, yes, but it’s more useful than anything. If you’re wondering about the traffic that day, or merely where you left your car keys, Astral Projection can help with that.

~Best of wishes,

Question by HINDU: just read a beautiful story, about overcoming lust, pls read it from a non religious point of view?

The most attractive thing in Vaishali, the capital city of Lichhavis, was the beautiful dancer Amrapali. She was named after the mango grove she was first found in. Everybody was eager to win her love. She chose to be the Nagarvadhu, wife to the whole city.

One day, Amrapali saw a young monk. Mesmerised by his calm and attractive presence, she followed him. The sanyasi settled down beneath a mango tree, unmindful of her presence. Unable to attract his attention, she spoke: “Sir, please introduce yourself. Why do you lead an ascetic life in your youth?”

“In search of Truth”, replied the monk. Amrapali was first taken aback. She then teased him: “Of what use is the Truth that wastes your youth?” The monk smiled: “Lady, Absolute Happiness can only be attained thus for the happiness you seek is transitory pleasure”.

Amrapali persisted. “Dear, leave this delusion and enjoy my hospitality which even royalty desires to experience”, offered Amrapali. The monk thought for a moment and said, “I will ask my master. If he allows me, I will come”. Then he took out a ripe Amra Phal (mango) from his bag and gave it to her with the instruction that the fruit be preserved without decay till his return.

The monk returned to Buddha’s shelter and narrated the incident. Buddha gave him permission to stay with Amrapali, much to the puzzlement of other disciples. Buddha calmly said, “I have looked into his eyes — there was no desire. If I had said ‘no’, even then he would have obliged. I trust his meditation”.

In the meantime, Amrapali tried all methods to keep the mango fresh, but failed. After one month, the young monk returned. Passionately infatuated, she approached him. The monk ordered, “Lady! Bring me the Amra Phal”. She did so; but the mango had decayed, emitting foul odour and was full of worms.

She asked, “Dear, of what use is this rotten fruit to you?” The monk slowly removed the mango-stone from the fruit. Showing her the rotten skin, he spoke, “Where has the beauty, aroma and taste of the fruit gone? Whereas, the mango-stone is intact and free of decay”. “Of what use is this mango-stone”, argued the courtesan.

The monk smilingly explained, “The mangostone is the most useful. As a seed, it has the potential to regenerate a new body. Likewise, a human being’s meditation is never wasted. This mango-stone signifies the eternal Soul. The protection of the Soul is the real shield; that is the absolute Happiness. Recognise this Truth, Amrapali. You, who could not save the decay of this Amra Phal, how long can you protect your own body from disintegration?”

The Nagarvadhu was speechless; it was as if she had been awakened from a deep sleep. Moved, she asked forgiveness of the young monk. She felt cleansed and expressed her desire to see the monk’s master.

Later, Buddha visited Vaishali and stayed at Amrapali’s abode. She touched Buddha’s feet and said, “I tried my best to attract your monk, but he convinced me by his awareness that real life is in your shelter”. She renunciated the life of a courtesan and donated her belongings to the Buddhist Sangha.

Buddha accepted her in the monastery as a disciple, to the chant of “Sangham sharanam gachhami, Dhammam sharanam gachhami”.
