Here is the complete text of one of the museum exhibits:
“Biology research suggests that the pair of rhinoceroses on the Ark diversified into perhaps 200 – 300 species in the first couple centuries after the Flood. God probably placed the potential for this variety into the rhinoceroses in the original creation. God’s designs allowed the rhinoceroses to be comfortable in a variety of conditions, from cold Asian steppes to the dry African savannah or humid tropical jungles.”
[And if someone insists on changing the question and answering "it was not evolution; it was simply changes similar to the many breeds of dogs", consider that a "cat kind" on the Ark would have had to have somehow produced eight or more genera of cats, including lions, tigers, panthers, leopards, and domestic short-haired cats. The cat family is large and diverse -- and all of their members came about in just a few years from a single pair on the ark??]

what you say, is that they became 300 soon after the flood thats not right. it may have taken a few generations to get 300 species of rhino. im not even sure there are 300 species.

The Ark was created by aliens and was a DNA bank containing two samples of every animal’s DNA. After the flood they then used the DNA to recreate all the species that were lost in abundance, thus eliminating genetic bottle necking. Some (not all) variations of creatures are a product of genetic experimentation.
They have nothing.
Same with the whole banana vs human genome idea. We don’t even have a fully sequenced banana genome yet, wtf!
Actually, they have a bigger dilemma.
(1) This is stipulating that even an extremely slow-reproducing mammal (gestation: 16 months) can speciate into 200-300 different *species* within a couple of hundred years (about 30 generations!)… which is a PACE of speciation FAR exceeding anything the craziest of ‘evolutionists’ propose.
(2) They are also stipulating that the diversity of these species is correlated to the diversity of *environments* in which they are found. (So Darwin was *right* about those stupid finches!)
(1) and (2) together are essentially the theory of evolution … but with a MUCH faster PACE.
I.e. if nature can produce that many species, with that range of diversity, in 200 years, then what could it do in 200-*million* years?!
Creationism then rests entirely on two pillars:
(A) That this diversification occurs without ANY new genetic material introduced into the gene pool … I.e. that statement “God probably placed the potential for this variety into the rhinoceroses in the original creation.”
Excuse me? “Probably?” The entire argument of Creationism is *dependent* on that being the case. Is that perhaps an indication that there is ZERO evidence for this “potential” in an ancestor … and there is ABUNDANT evidence that the process of mutation is a constant source of new genetic material.
(B) The earth is not millions of years old. I.e. this makes creationism absolutely dependent on the Young-Earth argument. I.e. this is no longer a *biological* argument but one with the *geologists*. Good luck with that.
